Jovoy is the story of an enchanting renaissance, that of a Parisian perfume house born in 1923 and then forgotten for over 80 years. In 2010, Francois Hénin, a globetrotter captivated by alluring raw materials, decided to give it a new life. Whether they are an eau de parfum or extract, all Jovoy creations have a beguiling story to tell, originating from a personal meeting or experience.
Jovoy's perfumes are the complete opposite of standardised global creations, they stand for the dream of exceptional perfumery, part of a notable French tradition and far from ostentation and elitism. At first comes a wave of clementine poised between fruit and zest, a lively bouquet tinged with bittersweet green notes, with grapefruit, pink peppercorn and bitter orange sharing the lead. Pepper and violet delicately veil a decidedly fruity top note. A powerful wave of cedarwood a delicate wisp of vetiver, rounded out by creamy sandalwood and intense musk, rests on an "indelible" amber wood base. -
